–>>THE SCOTTISH DYNAMIC DISCO DUO<<–
There are dream bookings, and then there’s dreamy disco bookings.  6th Borough Project are just that man!!!  STRAIGHT outta Glasgow, these boys are swimming the deep pond between our two lovely countries to join us on January 25th.  This dynamic duo consists of two auld mates: Graeme Clarke (The Revenge), and Craig Smith.  They’ve been purveyors of the disco jams for years now.  Their resume of disco edits spans a list way too long to even think of naming all of them.  However highlights we can think of are re-rubs done of classics like Marvin Gaye, and yeah…. Tina Turner.  Just get a load of this bad boy:

While edits of classics can really give you some amazing goosebumps, these boys are really known for their amazing productions.  Some of their top tracks were showcased on the 10-release label, Instruments of Rapture.  Of course, it would only be fitting that this type of talent would get recognized by the Freerange crew, and so they’ve been putting out some killer vibes on the sister (and more underground) label, Delusions of Grandeur.  And friends, their latest masterpiece, is nothing short of incredible!!

As if these boys weren’t unique enough, apparently they’re quite light-hearted as well.  If you’re up for a good line-dance at the Grand Ole Opry, well….hit play on this video.  What the??? LOL!

–>> LOCAL SUPPORT <<–

We’ve got an amazing team on board for this jam friends.  Local talent will showcase a broad range of deep house to nu-disco edits.  These dudes know how to deliver the goods!

Cyclist // Rich Hope // Graham Plant

Cyclist –> A Torontonian via Vancouver via Winnipeg, his music is influenced by the early 80’s era of underground dance music, when house and electro were rising from the ashes of disco. His releases on Homebreakin’/Punchout! have received international acclaim, and most recently, his remix with Pat Lok of The Rapture’s “How Deep is Your Love” has been selected by the band itself as the winner of the DFA Records remix competition. For his DJ sets, expect a fine mixture of deep disco, vintage house and re-edit flavours.

Rich Hope –> Dude be  local stalwart in Toronto yo.  He’s laid down at all the hot spots including Wrongbar, Footwork, and the newest instalment into Toronto’s underground; Moskito.  This will be a birthday celebration for Rich, so we should expect a set full of energy that only he can deliver.  The scotch is on us Rich ; )

Graham Plant –> It is with great pleasure that we welcome Graham Plant into the houseaddict family. In true house-head format, Graham keeps his head down in the studio, experimenting with new equipment and sounds, and working towards one he can call his own.  Graham will warm up this jam for us, and we’re really stoked about it.  Be sure to come early to catch his sounds, and maybe a little swag too ; )

Come and join the houseaddict family for what will be one of Toronto’s most unique celebration of everything Scottish : )
